Lipsense Invades My Home !

I recently applied to be a tester for a product that I had heard of, but not the chance to try as of yet. I received it last week from our friends at Red Gate Beauty(At no charge just to clarify).

Well today I am giving it a shot, as we get into more of the weather time frame that really  dries a person's skin out.

Today I opened the Gold Color Lipsense Moisturizing Gloss to try. I am hoping it will keep me from picking at my lips and keep them hydrated today.

Besides adding a bit of glitz to me, it did pep me up a bit spirit wise.(It has been sort of a drab day today  for me.)

It came out to a smooth consistency on the applicator, not like others I have used in my life.

Went on smooth to my lips as well, no clumping etc... no stinky scent, which was GREAT! After it was applied, it really made my lips feel soft and feel great.

This is just the beginning, we will see how it last throughout my day today, and see if I have to reapply it at any point.

Till the next post...

Update:

Have not had to reapply yet. As the picture says, even after lunch it is still holding good. I am really surprised at that, with other gloss I would have already reapplied a couple of times. I have to admit, even through eating banana peppers and dip, having pumpkin spice coffee, and animal crackers, my lips are still as soft as a baby's butt, which is a miracle in my book. By now I would have been picking at my lips, and I have not picked once today. Well done Lipsense. You win this round. Next test will be dinner time.

Day One with Lipsense with Strawberry Shortcake Long Lasting Lip Color-One Layer , Plus Updates done in October.

I know I am not the most beautiful person out there, but I am testing the Lipsense Long Lasting Lip Color today in my home as an everyday average house wife in Oklahoma. The product was received from Red Gate Beauty in Monroe, Georgia at no charge for testing and blogging purposes. I applied to be a tester and was luck enough to receive the green light to test this product and blog about it on my blogging service website here at Big Mouth Blogging in Oklahoma.

Pictured above is the product, and below that is me with one layer of the products on my lips. Upon opening it, to apply it to my lips this morning, I noticed a perfume like scent, when I was expecting more of a strawberry scent. After the first layer I noticed it did dry quickly, and added some great color to my other wise drab look. (Honestly, this is me at 10 in the morning working from home.)

I do appreciate that it added some much needed color, now to see how it holds up with one layer during the rest of the day.

I will keep you posted....

Update1:
I went on to do two layers of color and finish it with the moisturizing gloss. After the second layer and being overwhelmed by the smell of perfume and alcohol, and the fact my lips were burning after application, I added the gold moisturizing and the burning came down dramatically to being manageable.

Update 2:
I took a look at the ingredients listed on the side of the color tube and I noticed what could be driving my lips nuts.(But it was great color, and it definitely lasted a bit, 2 days to be exact before the color wore off, which my husband liked.) The ingredients include: Alcohol Denat, Acrylates/Octylacrylamide, Copolymer, Isostearyl Alcohol,Silica, PPG-20, Methyl Glucose Ether,Parfum,Hydroxypropylcellulose,Butylene Glycol,Aqua, Isodonis Japonicus Leaf/Stalk Extract, Hypericum Perforatum(St. John's Wort) Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract,Paeonia Suffruticosa(Tree Peony)Extract,Tilia Cordata(Linden)Extract,Citronellol,Limonene. +/- May contain: CI 77163,CI 77891,CI 77499,C I77492,CI 45410, CI 17200,CI 15850, CI 19140, CI 42090, CI 45370.
If you have a sensitivity to any alcohol, please beware this product does contain it. Also if you are one who has an allergic reaction to St John's Wort, this is a product that you will need to avoid, no matter how pretty the color. If the smell of perfume gets to you I can not recommend  you use this, etc....

If you are allergy free, and can with stand perfume then go for it , this is the product for you in spades.  As I mentioned before , when I got this and looked at the color name , I was expecting a scent of strawberry shortcake, not the knock out smell of alcohol and perfume. Color wise , it does last, and does a bang up job adding color to a lifeless face that need sa punch of color.

I do recommend though that you put the moisturizing gloss on immediately  after you know the color is dry it will keep you from picking your lip, for others it will cool off your lips from the initial burning sensation that hits after color application.

But it does do the job and it is great for on the go, especially if you forget to do it before you leave the house on your date, appointment, etc...

Over all good job lipsense for creating a long lasting color for women, but if you are going to call a color Strawberry Shortcake, there better be the scent of strawberries in the mix, as with any color you name after something edible.
